  1. Pretty realistic, well done! This was my first stellar cluster ever observed through a telescope. I was in my garden, had just set my new telescope and it was pointed toward zenit. It was a great surprise. Nice to see it here, in asod.

    Outstanding job! I like the star-glow effect and the way you included that faint starfield in the background that alot of us don’t bother to include at times. I agree with you, it is delightfully captivating to look at!

    Ha ha: you must be well below the equator then!
    In Europe this is one of the meanest messiers: always being extremely low above the southern Horizon. To me it was one of the last Messiers to have observed!

    This drawing is a pretty view at a low magnification.
    What was the height above horizon for you Viktor?
    I guess not all stars visible are being drawn.
    BTW: The effect of hazy glow is very well done and adds up enormously to the depth of your drawing.
