John,
Well done,
I can still remember the first time I saw this great ring of a nebula.

Good job.

Hi John,
I liked this drawing very much. Like Frank I can remember my first exciting encounter with this huge object 🙂

Thanks to all for the encouraging words. I’m relatively new to sketching, but this site is full of beautiful work that is very inspiring! Yes, it’s sure a big one especially when compared to the Ring Nebula (M57). The night I make the sketch was one of those nights with exceptional transparency and the detail and richness in the nebulosity was certainly enhanced by the filter(one of those purchases that are never regretted).
