Per,
It’s a pity, I had no scope this time.
Interesting sketch. The colours are true? Did You see colours in eyepiece?
Marek
Per,
Very nice and interesting! Just like they say, each comet has its own characteristics.
Back in ’97 and just like Marek, I had no optics of any type. However, I do remember looking North from downtown Chicago around 4am and there it was-
about 45-50deg from the horizon visible to the unaided eye.

Excellent sketch, it brings back fond memories of the brightest comet I ever witnessed.

*I am posting this comment by the request of Per-Jonny Bremseth:
Mr. Marek comments my drawing today “Hale-Bopp memories”. I do not manage to answer him on the internet side, because I am new in useing data!!
Marek ask if I can see colourdiffereces in the eyepiece . My answere is yes: The dustail to west in my drawing was clearly yellowish in colour. Against east, the colour was blue.
the colours in my drawing should be near true.
The spirals were sharp and yellow!
