My latest sketch for your interest. As previous, 153mm OG Watec 120N+ video camera, sketched from b&w monitor onto black art paper with white Conte hard pastel, watercolour pencil and white acrylic paint.

Dale,
Beautiful work capturing so much detail in the coma and the tail. I have not had the chance to observe it in over a week. Your sketch made me sure I must! Thank you for posting it.

Dale,
Very impressive for all the detail visible and captured in your sketch.
This continues to be a treat to see live and in sketches like this one.
Frank 🙂
Dale,
Nice sketch with lots of detail in Lovejoy’s tail.
I sketched C/2006 M4 (SWAN) off of a monitor back in October of 2006 using a friends 37.5cm reflector equipped with a StellaCam. I found that I could see faint detail in the outer coma and tails but at the expense of seeing detail in the inner core due to exposure issues.
Best,
