NGC 7789
Sketch by Wade V. Corbei
NGC 7789 is a rich open cluster in Cassiopeia that was discovered by Caroline Herschel in 1783. Sometimes referred to as the White Rose or Caroline’s Rose, the swirling patterns of stars and dark lanes can convey the appearance of a rose in bloom.
Wade,
Excellent sketch of a great open cluster. Cassiopeia has a nice collection of these.
